Qualified Construction Stormwater Inspector (QCSI) – ONLINE COURSE

REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE (see below or our main calendar).

construction stormwater inspector iconNPDES permits require that Qualified Construction Inspectors are knowledgeable in the principles and practice of erosion and sediment controls and pollution prevention, who possess the skills to assess conditions at construction sites that could affect stormwater quality and assess the effectiveness of any control measures.

Students will learn the basis for permit requirements and will be provided with an in-depth introduction to the state construction general permit.  During this discussion you will be introduced to inspection and evaluation methods and techniques to ensure that permittees are in compliance with permit requirements.

The final component of the course will be the discussion of Best Management Practices (BMPs) – what works, what doesn’t work, and what to do if something fails.  We will discuss LID and Green Infrastructure techniques, and these may be incorporated into MS4 permit compliance.

This one-day online course is designed for all construction site personnel that deal with or may impact stormwater discharge quality including stormwater inspectors, building inspectors, SWPPP developers, site managers, engineering review staff, administrative personnel, environmental staff, water quality staff, road workers, maintenance staff, and contract staff such as equipment operators, concrete workers, framers, masons, painters, drywall crews, and other construction personnel.

You will receive a certification valid for three years with successful completion of the course.  CEU’s or PDH’s are issued with your certification.
